We have many testimonials from satisfied users of Magno-flo. Listen to what some of our recent customers had to say:
Stephen Dally - Regional Manager Torrent Trackside (North)
I was first introduced to Magno-flo in April 2017 and took up the offer of a free trial of their ‘fuel saving’ device being fitted to my car (BMW 5 Series 2 litre Diesel). I was rather sceptical initially, but as soon as the device was fitted (which takes only a couple of minutes), I drove my car and noticed an increase in power.
I’ve had the device fitted since and my fuel consumption has noticeably improved. In April, my car was returning 38 miles per gallon (MPG) and this has increased to 44 MPG (August 2017).
On two occasions previously, I had issues with my car (albeit under warranty) with the ‘Exhaust Recirculation Valve’ (EGR valve) becoming defective, which effectively puts the engine into ‘limp mode’ – Since this device has been fitted, there have been no further problems.
I subsequently arranged for the Torrent Trackside fleet of vehicles (company cars/commercial vehicles/MEWPs within the Northern Region) to be fitted with these devices and had some emission tests carried out with some fantastic results (In one case the N0x [Oxides of Nitrogen] reading on a Glasgow-based transit van was reduced from 64 parts per million [ppm] to 0 ppm, as a result of the device being fitted).
We are now looking to fit these devices to our Southern Region’s vehicles.
James Hickling - Depot Manage Torrent Trackside
I was introduced to Magno-flo in July 2017 after emission tests had been carried out to some of our company owned fleet of Ford Transit vans. All of our Depot Managers had been gathered in Glasgow for a meeting and John Brown from MagnoFlo was invited along to explain his fuel saving device.
After explaining what the device could achieve, John offered to fit one of these to my Vauxhall Insignia car. Immediately after fitting the device I could tell there was an increase in mid range torque – the performance had noticeably improved.
On the journey North up to Glasgow, my Insignia had given an average MPG of 66. On the return trip however, with the device fitted, it returned an average MPG of 72 (See photo below) with an almost identical journey and time taken.
I have since had these units fitted to all my Rotherham-based Transit vans. John came to site and fitted these – a process that only takes a few minutes per vehicle.
Thanks, Magno-flo
A C Osborn - Visteon Swansea Plant (formerly Ford)
From 1985 I was employed by Ford Motor Company as Supervisor, Quality Engineering at Ford's Swansea Plant. Part of my responsibility was to supervise the noise and functional testing of Transit Rear Axles in our fleet of 3 Transit Vans. I first read about John and Magno-Flo in the January 1997 edition of the Engineering Magazine Eureka, which had an article describing John's work and some of the testing conducted. I requested from John a copy of the report from the Bolton Institute School of Engineering. The report confirmed an improvement in fuel usage on a diesel engine, but gave no scientific explanation of how it worked. I communicated with John during 1997. In 1998 when our department's Axle Evaluation test Vehicles were replaced with the latest production level vehicles I asked John if he would be interested in conducting trials on these vehicles as they cover a fixed distance over a fixed route by the same driver when conducting a test. These are ideal conditions for fuel consumption testing.
After allowing the Transit's engines to bed in for 2000 miles we started to record fuel consumption results. After logging results for 1400 miles John Brown came down from Scotland and fitted a set of 4 magnets for a free trial to Transit S953 SHJ. It can be seen from the table of results below that the fitting of the magnets had a dramatic affect on the fuel consumption of this vehicle. The fuel consumption of the sister (Control) vehicle did not change during this period, remaining at 28 - 29 Mpg. This trial was conducted during the summer to avoid large changes in temperature affecting engine performance.
With such encouraging results the magnets from the Transit were transferred by John to a Manager's TD Mondeo. A further single Magnet was fitted to a fellow employee's TD Mondeo to compare the performance of 4 units against 1 unit. The results are shown below. In 1999 I persuaded John to fit one of our new Traffic Fleet trucks, a 6 cylinder diesel Iveco Ford, with a complete set of 8 magnets, also free of charge. This vehicle was used for Supercube delivery of the Parts made at Swansea Plant (Automotive Hubs, Discs, Drums, Axles etc) to various Ford plants in Britain and Europe. The results are also shown below. The 4 Units were again transferred to another TD Mondeo owned by a Ford employee T228 JVW, also with positive results.
The results of these tests were related to Senior Ford Management including William Clay Ford, Jac Nasser and Richard Parry-Jones. They expressed interest in the results and instructed various under managers to contact me to follow up. They did contact me but due to various reasons did not follow it up with John Brown. Fortunately one of the Swansea Managers who had the magnets fitted related his results to another manager in Ford Central who subsequently is conducting his own tests with John Brown on a much larger scale than those at Swansea. Other tests conducted :- Natural gas ionisation was tested using a Bunsen Burner. After temperature stabilisation at 71 degrees C, a pair of Magno-Flo magnets were applied to the gas pipe about 3" from the Burner. The temperature rose to 84 degrees C. This test was repeated under controlled conditions at a furnace manufacturer, the actual flame temperature was measured and increased from 320 C to 365 C.

"At first I was sceptical that such a simplistic device could produce the efficiencies being discussed and ultimately financial savings for the company.
We tested 1 car, 3 Transit vans and 3 connect vans for a period of 3 months before we purchased. The savings produced on the fuel economy were between 10% and 12%. We then asked our insurers to investigate if this had an impact upon our premium or policy and they stated they had no issue with the fitting of these across our fleet of vans. We have now purchased 250 and are in the process of installing them across our fleet."

John Brown from Magno-Flo Ltd approached me to ask if I would mind being one of the first to try his fuel conditioning unit for the truck market. As it was a free trial, I felt I had nothing to lose. On the first day after fitting, the driver reported an increase in the torque on the hills with the engine running quieter. Within one week the vehicle was showing a 10% fuel saving. John Brown then fitted a second vehicle with identical results. With the savings being made, this prompted me to have all of my vehicles fitted, including my Ford Ranger pick up, showing an 18% fuel improvement with better torque and a quieter running engine. In my mind every truck, van and car should be fitted with a Magno-Flo fuel conditioning unit, the benefits are there to be seen. Once fitted no maintenance required and can be taken off and fitted on your next vehicle.
Keith Miller and Douglas Hill - Directors of Leggat Plant and Bridgend Hire
As a Company Leggat Plant and Bridgend Hire introduced the magnoflow system to our fleet 6 months ago and instantly noticed differences on both the performance of our fleet which consists of Mobile Cranes, Heavy Haulage, Operated Wheeled and Tracked Plant and Roadsweepers. In addition we also noticed an immediate decrease in fuel consumption. The difference was such that the board decided to endorse the magnoflow product and have now become a distributor from our site at Barrhead. We wish John and his team every success in the future with what we recognise as a fundamental product for every business.
Stephen Elliott - Grahams Family Dairy
Grahams the Family Dairy Limited have been trialling the Magna-Flo fuel conditioning system on part of our fleet for the last nine months and we have seen overall savings of between ten and fourteen percent. Trials are still on going. (After extensive trialling Graham’s had me fit to their trucks)

I noted the fuel efficiency in my Audi A4 2.0TDi for the 150 mile trip to meet John at 41.3 mpg. On the return trip this went up to 48.1mpg in exactly the same conditions - and I felt the engine giving more power!"Use a text section to describe your values, show more info, summarize a topic, or tell a story. At first I was sceptical that such a simplistic device could produce the efficiencies and the results speak for its self. Mango-Flo was then fitted to my fleet.
